The masterclasses taught at the Madeira International Music Academy (AimM) are destined for music students, professional musicians and teachers, who can enrol as active participants or listeners. The goals of the course are to:

and the teachers will promote an in-depth discernment of piano technique, interpretation and performance.
1.1 – The enrolment form [link!] should be sent together with the proof of the bank transfer for the total value to the Association of the Friends of the Madeira Music Conservatory (AACMM), aacmm@mail.telepac.pt
1.2 – The enrolments for the active participants will be accepted until May 1, 2020, and for the listeners until the beginning of the course. After May 1, it is still possible to send a request for enrolment to the e-mail aacmm@mail.telepac.pt. The request may be authorised if there are still places available.
In case of a withdrawal from the course, until April 1, 80% of the course fee will be refunded, until May 1, 60% of the course fee will be refunded, until July 1, 25% will be refunded. After that date there will be no refunds. The enrolment fee is not refundable.
1.3 – The maximum enrolment for active participants is 20, and there is no limit for listeners. In case course fees are received after the maximum enrolment number has been reached, these will be refunded in total (including the enrolment fee).
1.4 – The course fee includes:
- 4 individual masterclasses of 1 hour, one with each of the teachers
- An individual counselling session with each of the teachers, on the final day of the course
- 1 participation in the student concert
- 2 practice hours per day
- Final dinner
It will be possible to schedule individual lessons, according to the respective teacher’s availability, for the fee of 100€ for an hour.
Accommodation and meals are not included (except for the final dinner).
2.1 – Dr. Robert Andres, Managing Director of the AACMM, is the AimM Artistic Director.
2.2 – The masterclasses will take place at the Conservatório – Escola Profissional das Artes da Madeira (CEPAM), Av. Luís de Camões 1, 9004-517 Funchal, Madeira, Portugal.
2.3 – The masterclasses will take place on days and schedule indicated by AimM. The students should present themselves at CEPAM between 8-8.30 a.m. on July 15, 2020.
2.4 – Each student is responsible for their own accommodation and meals. The final dinner is offered by AimM.
2.6 – The active participants and the listeners will receive a certificate testifying to their presence at the course.
2.7 – All the participants will have a possibility to perform in one of the course concerts, and the teachers will select the participants for the final concert.
2.9 – The participants should bring their own scores, unmarked and whenever possible in an Urtext or equally valid edition.
2.11 – The participants who cause material damage in the teaching or concert venues will have to assume the responsibility. In case of minors, the responsibility will be assumed by respective parents.
The enrolment fee for the active participants is 50€. The course fee for the active participants, until April 1 (date of the bank transfer) is 320€ and afterwards 400€.
For the listeners, the enrolment fee is 20€ and the course fee is 60€, until April 1, and 90€ after that.

Any associated transfer costs should be assumed by participants. Please indicate AimM 2020 and the participant’s name on the transfer.
3.1 – The enrolment in this course implies total acceptance of these regulations.
3.2 – The organisation reserves the right to record audio, video and images during the course and the concerts, exclusively for the marketing and publicity purposes, and the enrolled participants waive any rights related to these recordings.
3.3 – Any other cases not addressed in these regulations will be decided by the organisation.
